WHYGRENE’s application connects these assets under a single automated, secure, and scalable energy marketplace with browserlike ease of use. Utilities access the WHYGRENE marketplace to issue smart contracts for prosumers to buy or sell energy. Prosumers access the WHYGRENE marketplace to make automated bids on smart contracts and to view energy consumption, production, storage capacity, and transfers within the grid.

The Line Ranger network is an adaptable artificial intelligent system for use on any distribution (or transmission) line or substation The software establishes baseline performance and identifies “abnormal” power loss. The software provides analytics and creates graphs and charts that “tell the story” of line status and performance in real time and establishes permanent records. Data is easily accessed through a simple online interface with data and reports served from the cloud. Data can be used to prioritize infrastructure investments, reduce power loss and theft, and increase the overall efficiency of power distribution.

Packetized Energy’s Nimble™ platform enables utilities to manage fleets of residential and small commercial distributed energy resources as single assets, known as virtual batteries. Nimble provides value streams from peak load management, ancillary services, and energy arbitrage, at half the cost of utility-scale battery storage.  The Nimble platform connects to smart grid-edge devices such as water heaters, EV chargers, HVAC systems, and residential batteries, enhanced with our IoT hardware and/or software. Once connected, these assets are easily coordinated to provide value of energy flexibility while maintaining the device’s quality of service expected by consumers.

Mela is a collaboration platform for field data collection that uses a conversational interface to create an enterprise asset management database. It can be used during construction, commissioning, and maintenance of physical assets to communicate, track work progress, and generate a knowledge database. The familiar user interface makes it the fastest way to collect and share data across stakeholders (including contractors).

Anterix has licensed a portion ofthe900 MHz spectrum for a private broadband network for utilities –Private LTE(“PLTE”).Asthe largest owner of 900 MHz spectrum, they working with FCC to make the spectrum usable for broadband networks (3x3 MHz).Anterix is not creating new spectrum, but through re-organization of a portion of the band and the existing users, and coordinating rules changes with the FCC, it becomes possible to open enough contiguous spectrum to support private LTE.LTE itself is a mature technology, so the Anterix spectrumcan leverage existing communications hardware while also being an enabler for private utility networksthat can offer improved reliability and security over public LTE networks.Anterix’s “LTE-in-a-box” offering is an all-inclusive software implementation of LTE core elements and the LTE radio access network (eNB) functions, whichcan be implemented as a private network thatallows equipment with appropriate USIM cards to attach on the 900 MHz (Band 8) spectrum.

Alion’s SPOT Panel Cleaning System is an automated, track-based cleaning robot for PV panels. The system’s cleaning head draws water from a tank and deposits it on the panels (although a dry cleaning mode can also be employed), and a spinning brush and wiper clean the panels. The vehicle is self-powered by a solar panel and batteries.
